Frequently asked questions
Know what to expect before you book.
Straight answers, including the ones about what detailing cannot fix. Still unsure which service fits? Text a photo and describe the issue.
What should I send for a quote?
Text the vehicle year, make and model, the service you are considering, your town, and clear photos of the interior, paint, headlights or whatever is bothering you. Mention stains, odors, damage or previous treatments that might affect the work. That is usually enough to give you a real number instead of a range.
Are your prices fixed?
The starting prices shown are honest floors, not bait. Final pricing depends on vehicle size, materials, current condition, odor source, paint condition and the result you want. You get the number before the work starts, and it does not change afterwards unless something is found and discussed with you first.
Do you actually come to me?
Most of it, yes. Interior detailing, odor removal, scratch removal and headlight restoration all come to you by appointment across Bucks and Montgomery counties. Hand washing, paint correction and ceramic coating are done at the shop in Quakertown, PA, because paint work needs controlled lighting and a sheltered space to be judged and finished properly. Ask when you text and you will get a straight answer about which applies to you.
Will interior cleaning remove every stain?
No, and anyone promising otherwise is guessing. Results depend on the material, the substance, how long it has been there, what chemicals have already been used on it, and whether it has penetrated below the visible surface. The goal is the strongest safe improvement for that material.
Can every vehicle odor be permanently removed?
Not without knowing the source. Odors caused by hidden moisture, contamination below the carpet, damaged upholstery, HVAC issues or an active leak may need more than one treatment or a repair that goes beyond detailing. That gets said upfront.
What is the difference between paint enhancement and paint correction?
Enhancement is a lighter refinement focused on gloss and light defects. Correction is a more involved polishing process intended to reduce visible swirls and scratches. Correction takes longer, costs more, and achieves more — but deep damage through the clear coat can still remain.
Can headlight restoration fix cracks or moisture inside the light?
No. Exterior restoration addresses oxidation and haze on the outside of the lens. Cracks, failed seals, internal damage and moisture inside the housing need a different repair, and you will be told if that is what is happening.
Does a ten-year coating really last ten years?
Only if it is looked after. The ten-year figure assumes the annual inspection and decontamination service is actually used, that the vehicle is hand washed rather than run through automatic brushes, and that it is not left sitting under sap and bird droppings for weeks at a time. A daily driver parked outside and washed badly will not reach ten years on any product, from anyone. It is also protection against contamination and washing wear, not armour — rock chips and scratches still happen.
What coating product do you actually use?
System X. It is a professional 9H coating line sold only through the trade, not the kind of thing you can pick up in a bottle at a parts store, and it is what goes on at every level from the one-year through the ten-year. The difference between the levels is how much correction happens underneath, how many layers go on top and how long the finish is expected to hold — not a jump to some secret better product at the top.
Is the coating guaranteed?
The application is. If the coating fails because of how it went on — high spots, streaking, patchy coverage or lifting away from the paint — that panel is corrected and re-coated at no charge within the first twelve months. That is a guarantee on the work, from the person who did the work. What it does not cover is how long the product lasts in service, or wear from washing, weather and road use, because those depend on how the vehicle is looked after once it leaves. Manufacturer-registered coverage is a separate thing and is not being offered yet — if that matters to you, ask before booking rather than assume.
Do I need ceramic coating?
Not necessarily. A coating is worth it if you plan to keep the vehicle, you care about gloss, and you want washing to be easier. It is not worth it as a way to hide paint defects, because it seals in whatever the finish looks like on the day it goes on.
When are you open, and how fast do you reply?
Hours are 8am to 5pm, seven days a week. A text or call inside that window gets answered by Andrew directly. Anything sent after hours is picked up the next morning, so you are never left wondering whether the message landed.
How do I pay, and do you take a deposit?
Cash, card, check, Venmo, Zelle and Cash App are all fine, and payment is due when the work is finished rather than up front. Ceramic coating is the single exception: a deposit holds your slot at the Quakertown shop and the balance is paid on completion.
Do I need to be there while you work?
No. For mobile work you need to leave the vehicle somewhere reasonably level with room to work around it and get the keys to us, then carry on with your day. You get a walk-through of the result at the end, including anything that could not be corrected.
Can I combine mobile and shop services in one visit?
Yes, and it is usually the cheapest way to buy — but it has to happen at the shop. Interior work is mobile when you book it on its own; when it is paired with exterior work it comes to Quakertown as a single drop-off, and that combined visit takes 10 percent off the total. The builder on the Packages page applies the credit automatically so you can see the number before you text.
